Approach to therapy
My style is person centered. I will always start where you’re at, because counseling is for you, driven by you. I have a solution focused approach with a direct style. Don’t worry, my empathy radar is high, but I also want to be sure to give you the support you need in order to shift change, not to keep you stagnant. The only constant in life is change, so why not grow through it?
What to expect
I strive to create an environment of peace; whatever that means to you. After session when you go into a world of chaos, my goal is that you’ll be reminded of what peace feels like so that you can utilize the tools we discuss during session, in your everyday life. If you don’t use it out of session- you’ll lose it. After our session, my goal is for you to feel empowered, hopeful and ready to take on the week with a different outlook and yes, there will be homework.
